PhD Defense Maria Laura Ferioli

15 December 2016

On Monday, 19 December 2016 (14:00), Maria Laura Ferioli will publicly defend her thesis entitled 'The Impact of Cooperation on the Rights of Defendants before the International Criminal Court'.

Abstract

Maria Laura Ferioli investigates International Criminal Court (ICC) law and practice in relation to cooperation with states and international organisations. She investigates the impact on defendants’ rights in the light of the unique structural limitations and constraints the ICC is bound to. Ferioli asks whether the unique structure of the Court influences shapes cooperation with states and international organisations, and whether the law and practice of cooperation reduce the rights of the defendants before the Court?
