Katherine Fortin awarded the Francis Lieber Prize by the American Society for International Law

Katherine Fortin, who was awarded her PhD dissertation cum laude on “The Accountability of Armed Groups under Human Rights Law” in October 2015 under the joint supervision of Prof. Cees Flinterman (UU), Harmen van der Wilt (UvA) and Terry Gill (UvA), has been awarded the Francis Lieber Prize by the American Society for International Law.

The prize will be presented to her at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Society for International Law in Washington D.C.  Katherine is an assistant professor of international law at Utrecht University and member of the LACMO research group at ACIL. Her dissertation was published in 2017 by Oxford University Press.
