Pieter Jan Kuijper receives international law prize

31 October 2016

Pieter Jan Kuijper, professor of the Law of International (Economic) Organizations, will receive the Maastricht Prize of International Law, successor to the The Hague Prize for International Law, on 8 December in Maastricht.

The jury remarked that one important reason they found Pieter Jan to be deserving of this award was the European dimensions of his work in the field of international law, both academic and practical. Pieter Jan sees this award as an important stimulus for the Amsterdam Law School to continue in the direction of the last years, but also to continue paying attention to the links between international law and European law both in theory and practice.
