Summary
Christiaan Baardman will provide background information on the Expertise Center on Cybercrime and touch upon the way cybercrime and digital evidence have influenced the judiciary, in terms of professional knowledge, attitude, case preparation and trials. Baardman will argue that a new legal domain is on the rise and that existing legal concepts should take into account the new developments in the field of cybercrime and digital evidence.

Christiaan Baardman is Senior Judge at the Court of Appeal The Hague, Chair Cybercrime Chamber and coordinator at the Expertise Center on Cybercrime.
