We're delighted to welcome Riccardo Luporini to ACIL as a visiting research fellow. His current research concerns international climate change law, climate change litigation, disaster management, and human rights law. At ACIL, Riccardo will focus on his research monograph on climate change-related disasters and human rights under international law, as well as on fostering new collaborations with ACIL staff on common research interests.

Riccardo is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where he obtained his PhD in 2021. Currently, he is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Pisa and a national rapporteur at the Global Network of Peer Reviewers on Climate Litigation, Sabin Center for Climate Change Law. He collaborates with some Italian and international NGOs on grassroots initiatives to improve the accountability of public authorities for climate change and disaster management.
