Kinga Tibori-Szabó is a post-doctoral researcher in the Role of Law in Armed Conflict and Military Operations (LACMO) research programme of the Amsterdam Center for International Law. Her PhD on the right of anticipatory self-defence won the 2012 Francis Lieber Prize of the American Society of International Law. Dr Tibori-Szabó has been publishing and conducting research on the use of force in public international law for more than 15 years. She also has solid expertise in international criminal law gained as legal assistant for defence, legal officer for the victims’ representatives and legal officer for chambers (judges) at international criminal tribunals. She gives lectures and presentations on topics of public international law and international humanitarian law.
