War Reparations Centre

The WRC is part of the ACIL and partner of the Amsterdam Law Clinic
War Reparations Centre
The War Reparations Centre studies remedies for violations of international humanitarian and human rights law that occur during armed conflict. As a partner of the Amsterdam Law Clinic, we conduct research to assist lawyers and ngo’s to litigate in defence of war victims’ rights. Our legal database maps the developing law of reparations and is freely accessible.
Read more about our current research topics, including a study of how businesses could be held accountable for violations of international humanitarian law in the occupied Palestinian territories, and a study of the possible obligation to make reparations in relation to the non-international armed conflict in Turkey.

UvA students are encouraged to apply for an internship to assist us in our research projects and maintain our database.
